Final Post

This is it folks the last post on this blog. I want to say that i have enjoyed running my mouth here , talking about wordox , bashing cheaters , bragging about me and my pard Holly and our partners exploits etc. I did remove my angry post from last night. I am not pissed off anymore , i do see the light however i do have a few things to say to a few people. To the Admins i worked with at Interleague , I apologize for my lobby comments, i was very unprofessional , in engaging in a lobby fight with Amplify and Ceedie. I still feel that a person PROVEN to be a cheater in 2 leagues should never have been allowed to join Interleague and will stand by that to the end.
Due to my actions last night i felt it best that i withdraw from interleague and did so. Due to 2 administrators from oxfest running their mouths in the lobby last night instead of backing up the TD and waiting for private email to settle the issue i withdrew from that league. As for Extremeox(my former home league that i created) i withdrew there as well.... i have been on the verge a couple of times in the past few months anyway but a comment from Ayla last night saying that im hurting Interleague when she bans a person( minifrump, who has always been a good friend to me) just for not saying hi , more than once i might add ,just iced the cake. Thats a double standard in my eyes so i left.
I also apologize to Barb, the situation got out of control very fast barb and you held yourself together very well and i applaud you for that.
I apologize to my Partner Holypeenyo , we had some good times and kicked some ass and i also applaud you for your unwavering stand in your boycott of Amplify even when i begged you to play them in Pards. I should have done the same thing and kept my mouth shut but i didnt.
Once more i apologize to Cait Mummy and Lady for having to deal with the aftermath of all this. Have fun all of you i hope to compete with most of you somewher edown the road.

Ok anonymous, you have an astounding grasp of logic, you must be at least a junior high graduate. I suppose that people who talk about animals in their blogs are into bestiality? And the ones who talk about kids are pedophiles? . Interleague Saturday

Attendance was ok saturday. Ricky had to help his sister move again so he didnt play much. You still owe me that ladderset too, Rick. The toilet overflowed at 1 point and Amp and Lilbas rode in on a wave.
Dorcas hosted 1 tourney with 16 people in it wich is considered a big tourney at cases. I won it and got a gold bar on my tourney player card heheh. She (Dorcas)also sent the gorilla cruising last night in my lose you cruise single elim to win the final tourney of the evening Wtg Dor!!.
In Partners Pepperrin beat DoJo by a seconde ;-) to claim a share of first place. We would have won it all but we refused to play the dubious duo known as V for V.D. After that was all said and done Most of us moved on over to Synergys Bar and had a blowout which i will cover in another post.

Living after Midnight

Wow!! The joint was jumping in the Synergy room for Barbs drunkox tourneys. At one point counting tourney players ,watchers and the td i think the room total was 16 people. Helluva crowd and lots of fun. Thanks Barb for hosting. I will write more about it and the Interleague part of Saturday tonight or tomorrow.

My wife , God bless her , keeps an eye on my internet activities , feeds me , cleans up after me etc.... has been watching this thing Olivia started Saturday morning and made the following observation.... " Jeff , whether she is male or female is beside the point...and I do believe she is female, whats going on here is the poor sow is obviously attracted to you." After i finished hurling chunks , i politely thanked her for ruining my day and asked her about clean clothes.
Now that im wised up to whats going on here i refer you back to my Penis Envy post Olivia. I promise you if you come to the States we will find a guy to take one for the team and do ya even if we have to get him liquored up (foregone conclusion) to do it. Im sorry that i personally wont be able to take care of that for you for 2 reasons . One...there aint enough whiskey in Tennessee to drink the ugly off of you and two im married and i dont fool around. Sorry (not) but its just got to be that way. Maybe we can hook you up with Rickety , i think he is single and Kentucky has a lot of whiskey for him to drink before he does the dirty deed. Sorry Ricky but i think you owe the team this one. Penis Envy

Olivia aka QuestinMadness made a few statements Saturday morning in the interleague room that i feel need to be shared here with anyone who reads this. Apparently she believes that wordox is a girlie game and that the men who are good at wordox are gay. HMMMMMM that takes thinking about..... I know i am good at wordox yet i have never felt the urge to go up the old dirt road with any man, i am married to a beautiful woman who bore me a lovely daughter.
Joey aka Bigwurm is good at the game and he married Dorcas, a good looking woman, which is not the action any normal gay man would take. Richard aka Wordman is married.... never seen his wife but i know Richard prefers breast meat as well and his skill at the game is without doubt.
Olivia , just because you arent as successful against top rated men players as you are against unranked or low ranked newbies (always with your rules) doesnt mean that you need to envy our peckers or call us gay. If like you say cant get find a good man in greece (gee wonder why that is ? ) cmon over here to the good old U.S.A where im sure there will be a few good men willing to take one for the team and throw the meat to ya no matter what you look like. Smoooooch :-)

Moooving Along

Like my pard said lets move on, i have a subject i want to crow about, my win in the battle of the sexes.... CAW!! The men knew only 4 of us needed to show up for our tourney , it didnt matter which 4 , any 4 would have been enough. I happened to win that tourney and went on to back up what i said all week long.... That the men would win . So :P @ the glh gang and all of your cronies. In The Spicy Ones blog she mentioned dead crows.... have you ever seen a dead crow? Probably not because crows are survivors .... tricky, cunning, intelligent bastards. So bring your slingshots and bb guns , me and old Jim Beam will be awaitin on yas all. CAW!!!!

Beating a dead horse or a jackass as the case may be

Tonight i was told that a comment was made that most people hate Amplify because they assume he cheats. Let me set the record straight for those of you who wonder about my opinion or thoughts on the matter. I dont hate him because he cheats, i hate him because he is a lowlife scumbag, a piece of dogshit if you will. In all my years of playing this game he is the only person i truly hate. There are a number of people i dislike, including people who think they are better (not at ox) than everyone else. Hate is a very strong emotion and i am normally not the type to hate . My reasons for hating the jackass run deep and i have gone over those reasons enough.
There are a number of players i suspect of cheating, i dont care if they cheat, i can still beat them as often as they beat me. I still have fun win or lose and i have a blast running my mouth when i do win. I know there are people who dont like me , maybe hate me.... to those people i got 2 words for ya... SUCK It!! plus 2 middle fingers and let me add a fuck off to that as well. I enjoy every game i play whether its a scumbag cheater or a n honest player and i learn something from the best and the worst players every game i play if its a new word or a different strategy.

Last Night at Interleague

The fur flew but the glossy black feathers remain intact!! I went into the battle of the sexes tourney with one thing in mind which i did accomplish which was to win. The ladies were foaming at the mouth in their rage and scared Ricky so bad he withdrew from the mens tourney and ran away, not to be seen again the rest of the night. In the finals i took on a very rough and tough DrKate but managed to take her out in the end , vgg Kate!
The international roughnecks , that feared team known as Pepperrin accomplished the one goal that they had mapped out for the night which was to beat Dorcas and Joey. I was well on my way to being drunk from the BOTS victory celebration and after the win we wanted in the teams tourney i really got hammered. The rest of the night is pretty blurry and if i offended anyone im sorry , it wont happen again until i get hammered again. I have a busy day today hope to see some of ya tonight.

ok i have been lazy

Yea , i havent posted much lately , life gets in the way sometimes. A few things to talk about here .... I was asked today if i believe the things I write here about my ox playing abilities. To a certain degree yes I do. I think im am without a doubt one of the best players in the game. With my personality being the way that it is tho I enjoy putting out a lot of trashtalk in this blog that may be taken in the wrong way. Let me clarify things for the uninformed . I know that I am beatable, just like everyone who plays this game is beatable. To read what I write here you need to understand the concept of talking smack. You sometimes need a sense of humor as well. I may not be the funniest person to ever write a line or two but i do get off a good zinger once in awhile.
Ok now i want to talk about cheaters. This isnt an amplify rant ,i have said all i need to say about that jerk. Cheaters are a popular topic in pm(private message). Some people wont play in a tourney if they see someone in that they think cheats, others voice opinions in pm to each other about cheaters. I have had many discussions with Wordman about cheating scumbags. I have a list of people that i suspect of cheating, i wont publish their names here because i cant prove cheating unless im standing over their shoulder watching. Those who do cheat , the scumbags, i want you to know this. You may beat me once or twice or ten times but you arent going to win every game because for most of you the time you waste looking up words with your little anagram machines or programs would be time better spent actually learning words and learning to employ a key element in this game , Strategy. What satisfaction do you get out of winning that way? Now that i have said that to the cheaters they can fuck off (i had to use gutter language somewhere).

The Question

Does anyone really care what an ignorant little man has to say ?????? Does the grass grow? Does the wind blow? Is Ceedie a stupid hoho?????? Yeah , i guess so. I really dont give a rats ass if anyone cares what i have to say. I say whatever i want and its usually for my own personal amusement and not because im trying to attract the attention of some moronic bimbo that has her head so far up a monkeys butt that its a wonder she can find her way to an ox table , let alone play. So the 2 dollar hoho's question is answered :-)

Battle of the sexes

I have it on good authority that next weekend at interleague which accord is hosting there will be a B.O.T.S. I dont know what the purpose of this is as it is obvious that the men will completely dominate . I kinda feel sorry for the women being subjected to the beating that is sure to come.
On another note i finally got my handy dandy cases ladder inkpen!! I am the envy of everyone i work with when i whip out my new pen and do my reports. They all covet that pen , i can tell by the greedy looks i get whenever i sign anything. Only from the women tho. ;-) cya at the tables....CAW

Lag , Balls etc

We (the mighty team Pepperrin) decided we were not going to let anyone ruin our fun on Saturday nights and we did have fun at the pards tourney. On my pards blog ( link down below) she talked about sneaky players claiming lag which i have ranted about here before and she commented on Balls, mine in particular.
We did have a choice on that next to the last fatal play...we could have played all and left the m in the rack for me to use or i suggested play mall and pray for an s but the choice was all up to The Spicy One who threw caution to the winds and we wound up with a sweet win. My successes in the game are due in large part to my willingness to gamble.... force clears when other players wouldnt etc. I love to win on longshots and gambles, it makes the victory a bit sweeter. But anyway, we owe that win to Holly breaking out with the go to hell attitude and slamming down that play and a bit of luck :-) My balls are always happy to be a part of it all tho lol . Reading the newspaper

I lost my internet connection late saturday night and decided to go to bed. I contacted my isp Sunday morning and they were having trouble in my area so i would from time to time try and access the net and finally got online about 11 sunday night. While i had this spare time i decided to catch up on my newspapers, I read the Evansville Courier, and let me tell ya the news sucks.
The article that continues to weigh heavily on my mind is the one about the arrests of 125 people in connection with a child -porn ring describing acts on children as young as 6 months old. I had my wife read this article and it made her cry. What in the FUCK is wrong with men in the world? Not just the USA but the world. What is there that is a sexual turn-on about a child?
Everyone connected with the industry of child porn, be it the purveyors or the viewers ,they are a complete waste of oxygen and really people , if a diseased cow or chicken can be shot or slaughtered and burned to keep from contaminating the rest of the flock so too should these sick bastards be removed from society. These people were boy scout leaders , church leaders and youth counselors for Gods sake, what are we moving towards? I worry about this because i have a 3 year old daughter and young nephews and nieces and i feel sorry for anyone that touches them. Any form of child abuse is sad but the sexual predators are what seem to be making the news lately.
Another article on the same subject was about a guy who killed a neighbor over allegations that his child was molested by the neighbor and the police say they believe it now to be false that the child was molested. Damn i feel sorry for everyone involved in that.... As a parent i feel the rage the poor bastard who killed his neighbor had to have felt when the thought of some freak touching my kid crosses my mind.
Talking to my wife about what we read today and writing about it here hasnt been a release for me or made the sickened feeling go away. I just pray that it doesnt happen to anyone i know and that a way is found to end this preying on of children. Thats it for this post hopefully i will come up with something happy to write about soon.

Running Wild , Taking A few Beatings

Last night at ExtremeOx that infamous team known as Pepperrin ran wild on the hapless souls lined up against us . Words were exchanged betwen us and the the little blond half of the Witches team but we smacked her around for her impertinence. After brutalizing the competition at extreme we went on to synergy where my partner started out with an evil cackle and gave me more than 1 beating. I lost count after 2, it may have been 3 that she dished out. Im not sure because i was reeling from the blows. And a few pills. Anyway i look for the chance to slice and dice my peppery pard ASAP now that i have somewhat recovered. Cyas at the tables .............. ;-)

wtf?

Why in the hell would anyone join a wordox league and decide the competition is too tough in another league? Especially when the league you join has one of the most obvious cheaters in the whole fucking game in it . One who is so obvious the sorry bastard is scared to come play real players at Interleague or anywhere else the top players play. And no im not talking about Amplifart.
Are you here to improve your game and vocabulary or are you here to form little cliques and talk shit about people or are you here to say "im in a word game league, see how smart i am" or are you gonna stop the clique bullshit and learn a few new words and maybe become a top player? Also.... i am a member of every wordox league and if i decide to play in a tourney in any one of those leagues and i advertise the tourney on yahoo its for the good of that league. Some of my yahoo messages go to people not in the league (which also may bring that league a new member) i may be addying for but if a member of the league im addying for gets offended because i or anyone else tosses out an ad they are a moron and doesnt deserve the opportunity to play in a league. They should take their sorry whiny asses to soc 1 and stay the fuck there. Some people may wonder what the hell im talking about , if so email me personally and i will explain.

Prize redemption

After all these years of playing in leagues i finally decided to look at the prizes and i qualified to get my very own Cases Ladder inkpen!! I cant wait to get it. I will use it for poison pen letters , graffiti , scratching in hard to reach spots ,writing checks and everything!! Back in the day when flipside ran the site i got all kinds of stuff... t-shirts , hoyle games cds etc but its been awhile since i got a prize. I wanted a t-shirt but i wasnt rich enough buxwise to get 1 despite emptying all my ladder accounts. Oh well , another 5 years or so and who knows ?

More on my last post

I dusted off my old name kes and rejoined wordoxunited a few days ago just to get in amps face, win or lose. Having the day on my hands to think about it i decided that for the most part he just isnt worth it, where playing a good game of ox with friends is a release that i look forward to. Not to say that i wont go play there sometimes because i will, but it wont be because he is there. I am not going to pursue that grudge any longer but if i beat him you will damn sure see some cawing going on here because when you rage against a machine and win its somethin to crow about.

stats and other junk

Talking to a few people this morning i was asked the question "Dont you care about your stats?"
Well the answer a few years ago was yes. Now its no , i dont give a damn about my stats. I rarely even look at them anymore. Sure i see my rank when i register for a tourney and i play to win but ratings , win streaks etc mean nothing to me anymore. I have been to the top of the mountain pretty much in every league under one name or another and while i love to compete in tourneys the overall win-loss record doesnt matter. Not saying i like to lose but i know im going to lose a few here and there and i have more fun now wreaking havoc than i do worrying about my rating , especially if its pards with Team Pepperrin.
I get a lot of email about what i write here from people who dont necessarily want to comment on the site , people asking why i dont like Amplify, why i got pissed at Ricky , who do i think cheats etc etc. Here is what i have to say to these people. I have been playing here a long time , made lots of friends and enemies , had bad times and good. I have seen the most amazing players in the wordox world play the weirdest words , , started leagues , tded, done it all. Some things i regret , others i dont , but the i do promise you all to do this..... I will try to be more laid back , have more fun , raise hell with my pard in teams tourneys , talk trash and generally just have a good time and quit focusing on the bad shit that goes on in Ox. I am here to stay till the good Lord takes me away , like me or dont like me learn to love me cos i am the best thing out there today ;-)
If i beat someone or me and my pard tear up a teams tourney and i gloat about it here , take it in good grace , im only having fun from here on out. Cya at the tables ;-)

United Rage

Kes the gorilla killa rejoined WordoxUnited today, i figure like the profile says ,the losses dont matter but the wins are toot sweet. I did lose the no pinks and Ampyboy took that and ran like the pussy that he is instead of coming back for his usual easy romp to victory in the late tourney. I shall rage against the machine just because i can. If that piece of shit can play where he isnt wanted so can i ;-) Welcome to the jungle, we got fun and games...... later peeps

Players from the past

I ran into KrazyRacer yesterday, he is still as cocky as ever but funny as hell. I told him to bring his sorry ass back to the leagues so i could kick it for him and he said he might show up this weekend. He said he had seen another trashtalker by the name of maineracer (who im sure some of you remember) about a year ago but he had changed his name and Krazy couldnt remember the namechange. Would be nice to trade insults with them guys again.

Paybacks are hell says Ayla... Haha says Pepperrin

Well Ayla , apparently thanks to Melisca you will have the opportunity to try , yes i said try , to pay Pepperrin back for the beating we gave you tonight. The Extreme pards tourney brought out clowns, penguins, witches, a shadow even yet nothing was going to stand in our way as we romped and stomped our way to victory. After a spell of monkeypox infected tourneys at interleague, which we refuse to play in, it was a blast to get back in the ring and beat the snot out of some peeps. Great turnout for the tourney which just goes to show ya pards is fun. The tick came in briefly but he said he wasnt playing tonight. Too bad, kicking his ass would have been icing on the cake. Its T.V. time for The Great One, gotta catch up on my shows. Maybe bb later for some synning , maybe not .

Yesterday

First things first.... Congrats to Shadow and Josh on the partners win , nice come from behind effort in the lower bracket to take both games against the J for Jackass team. Next , Rickety announced that he was taking his ball and going home because i blasted him here. Great Ricky , instead of trying to redeem yourself with all the people you have pissed over the years and i hope you arent too stupid to know what im talking about , you puss out and quit. Cya. Third , for all of the older players i ran across ChezPate yesterday and she says hi to all her old friends and will try to come play some league stuff. now im going to dose my hangover more later...... Calm Pill

I am staring at my bottle , my bottle is staring back at me. We are both waiting for the clock to hit 6:30. I took a calm pill and a few pipe tokes a few minutes ago so maybe , just maybe, i will be in a better frame of mind by the time i get to crack the seal. Rick i got your yahoo messages and i just have to say im tired of the bullshit. Everyone is tired of it. If you enter a tourney either finish the fucking tourney or leave, dont play a round then jump out and watch the rest of the matches. That to me says you are trying to protect your stats. Who gives a fuck about your stats? If you play a match in a ladder room and lose report the fucking match. Dont fuck around either just do it. Its getting to the point where you are going to be in the same class as amplify if you arent already there in some peoples minds which is likely after the shit you pulled several days ago. Now that i have said all that i will take another pill and host this tourney . Then i will meditate on beating the hell out of whoever i can in the game. "THE DUDE ABIDES"

Sportsmanship

I talk trash, i raise hell , i make snide comments here and in the lobby. But one thing i also do is observe sportsmanship in the game. If you fuck up and misplay a word ansd i pass back to you should you take advantage of the new rack and play elsewhere like any common peckerhead or do you do the right thing (my opinion) and play in the same spot as well as you can? BTW reporting losses in a prompt manner is also good sportsmanship Rick. Dont worry , burn me once .... you wont get a second chance. Some say the game shouldnt be cutthroat and i can play a friendly game with most but if you screw me over im gonna be looking to kick the dogshit out of ya every chance i get after that. Oh and now is a good time to post my motto again ..... "Dont like me ? Bite me"

On Partners Advantages

I was thinking , dangerous , yes but i did it anyway. What i was thinking about was the partners situation and it struck me that despite being one half of the greatest team to grace the world of wordox, i realized that there is a team with a decided advantage over the rest of the field when they choose to play. That team is the frog and the worm , Dorcas and Joey. What advantage you ask might this team have? They have the advantage of oral communication and possible eye contact. If Joey messes up Dorcas can reach out and thwack him without blinking an eye. If she messes up he can mumble curses under his breath until she thwacks him again. Oh i suppose other teams could hook up by telephone or whatever but telephone is no substitue for being in thwacking reach. If i was close enough to Holly to be thwacked im certain i would be rubbing an ouchie whether i messed up or not and if she messed up she would probably blame me and thwack me again. See i told ya thinking is dangerous.

Burglars in the boogerwoods

Where i live i can see 2 neighbors houses , the guy across the road has horses and a barn etc and i can see the guys house that sits on the main highway. The guy living on the highway stopped by yesterday and asked if we had been having trouble with vandals and break-ins. It seems someone is plaguing him with all manner of mischief from beating on the house at night , shooting his kids with bb guns from the woods (no i didnt do it) and a recent break in. The guy across the road has had a bit of trouble too.
Anyway highway guy told us that he saw a person in our yard about 2am fri night- sat morn. This person was on the side of the house away from my garage where my dogs stay at night . Being in meth country i hope there isnt some fool looking to break in to my house. I dont even want strangers in my yard . I have guns and i am not afraid to shoot at people or be shot at in defense of my family and property. I have been shot at and shot back so i know what to expect. Lets hope that i wont need to again.

Pomposity Pards n more

I got paired against Ceedie in a tourney yesterday and she played me, i must not be enough of a pompous ass to get the free win (like i needed it). I was very courteous with a gl at the start and a gg at the end with a vgl an glir in lobby but all i got in return was silent rudeness. I guess she knew a beating was coming and it hurt too bad to type afterwards as well.
After a fun pards tourney last week this weeks tourney was infected and i noticed a couple of the best teams decided to go prepare for drunkox (pepperrin included) instead of taking the chance of getting monkey germs. Sad situation and i wish syn or extreme would host a sunday night pards. thats it for the moment bbl

Ok , I feel better now having stuffed myself with bacon ,eggs , biscuits, very good amish apple butter and a large jug of O.J. I want to thank all the td's that ran tournies yesterday and last night , thanks Ayla for putting on a midnighter and especially thanks to barb for her superlate drunkox tourneys at synergy. Tding is a miserable job to me because you usually cant play if you are busy hosting so thanks to all the tds at all the leagues for your time!!

Drunkox

i dont know who all got wasted last night but i know i did lol. The tourney matches were running together so much that i lost track of what tourney was what. I was relieved and ready for bed when it was over lol.
I put up a post here that was too obnoxious for even my sober standards so i took it down. If anyone read it before removal i was drunk and got nastier than i should have . Last night was pretty much a blast for me despite Monkeyboy showing up. Lucky for him we dont play in a real bar. His new line in his profile says "the more you hate the more i love this game " Love the game all ya want bub , i know a couple of places where you wont be playing it and count your blessings that there are a few people in the world who feel sorry for shitheads like you and let you in a couple of doors anyway.
Pepperrin did ok in the pards tourney despite the fact that The Great One had to td as well as play and i think we shook off a bit of ring rust and will be back in top shape soon. i wish synergy and extreme had tds willing to host pards late friday nights or sun or mon nights .

On the last post

I will have to say , if i am in any league or ladder room im not in there to play "just for fun" games. Yes i know the game is fun but im there for fun ladder matches or fun tourneys and if i want a regular "just for fun" game i will go to social 1 . Expecting a league member in a league room to want to play "just for fun" is bullshit. <---(potty language again) Some people will agree to do that especially if they have a potential new member on the hook or if its stated ahead of time that its just for fun but generally most people want laddergames. Anyway it sounds to me like someone needs to report a loss or stay in the "just for fun " room. Not reporting , if memory serves me correctly , can get you boxed or banned from a league too. I remember a couple of players getting the old heave ho for that.

You are in a league room and you agree to play someone...you sit at a table and begin playing a 45p/45s set and then when you lose you are going to say that you didn't know it was ladder??? When two members of the same league sit down to play in the league room, it is IMPLIED that they are playing league games unless otherwise specified. Everyone understands this and to state otherwise is pure manipulation of the ladder in my opinion. I am especially upset when this is done to a very nice person who will, for lack of a better phrase, lie down and take it. Well, it's downright dirty and despicable if you ask me. To do that period, but to do it to someone who you know won't fight back; how awful, how sneaky, how manipulative, how cowardly! I think anyone who places that much importance on winning a game and earning a few measly rating points that they'll do it by being dishonest, manipulative and unfair should not be allowed to participate in league play. League play should be about good, clean, fair & fun competition... Yes, I know, it's not always like that in the real world of league play and maybe I sound idealistic... but... people like that ruin it for the rest of us and it just makes me sick. I wish everyone would just refuse to play people who act like that; to enable this behavior only encourages it.

Here's my pet peeve. If you come to the Synergy room to play, and you and the person you sit down to play are both Synergy members, it should generally be assumed that all matches are Synergy ladder matches unless decided ahead of time that they are for 'fun'. To lose a match and then say "You never said they were ladder matches" is inexcusable. Excessive applauding, cackling, etc. may be annoying, but this particular habit is just plain WRONG! A few of us were in the room tonight when this happened. I for one will not accept an invitation to play this person, and won't allow him to join me at a table.

An almost meetup

The Spicy One , commenting on my brawling ways in the past, brought to mind the story of almost meeting Ricketytick. I am originally from a town on the Tn/ Ky border that is beside Fort Cambell Ky , home of the 101st Airborne Division Screaming Eagles. Rick is from a town 15 miles north of the base in Ky. Anyway back in the day, after my normal weekly job i had a weekend gig as a bouncer at a strip club across from the base. Rick had just been playing ox a month or 2 and I knew he lived nearby.
The club had feature attractions(dancers) from Penthouse magazine on the weekends and i told Rickety that i would get him in for free if he wanted to meet a Penthouse Pet. Well evidently he hadnt heard of that particular Pet because he turned down the offer and we never did meet up. I only worked at the club a few more months after that but had a lot of fun there before and after being a bouncer there. The last time i was there with 2 friends we got kicked out and rather than try to remove us by force the bouncers called the police lol. I never did find out why we got the boot but i had been drinking tequila all night . The police actually let us drive home! thats it for tonight .........cya at the tables!

My Crappy Mood

A few people have asked about my comment regarding the mood i was in today so i decided to write about it. I woke up mad. Why you say would i wake up mad? I dont usually drink on weekdays or sunday nights , i usually save it for friday and saturday nights. I take a few prescribed pain medicines , a couple of them opiate based ,as needed and prescribed valium and carisoprodol which is also known as soma.
I take these meds for injuries suffered that have never properly healed. As a 14 year old i broke 3 fingers and 2 smaller bones in my right hand in a gold gloves boxing match and the index finger didnt heal right and since that time i have broken it 11 times. in 2000 i was the victim of a crush injury to my left foot which also involved my knee and included nerve damage and bones broken in my foot in 16 places. I have a torn abdominal muscle that i have been putting off surgery on because i had it repaired 2 years ago and the surgeon apparently didnt do the job right. Add to that injuries suffered as a bouncer (beer mug to the side of the head) which damaged my ear along with a dislocated shoulder from a keg party fight at age 18 and a fractured collarbone from a car wreck along with a severe case of carpal tunnel syndrome to top it all off.
i try to not take my meds for the uses intended, being somewhat of a druggy i save them for recreational uses when possible . I didnt take anything but ibuprofen and tramadol sunday so i had a bad nights rest and therefore woke up in a kill the world mood. Luckily my daughter can brighten my day just by walking in the door and concerned friends thru email and yahoo helped too so thanks yall cya later on!

I had thought to close the topic not from offense at the comments posted but from negative comments about it in my personal email and just from the fact that i was in a crappy mood today. Hmm

Wow already some strong opinions out there on peeves. To the one anonymous comment , i was talking about the 1 or 2 notorious applause button users. I have a few other peeves as well but i think i will squash the topic here and now so as too keep my temper down . I have probably offended pretty much everyone i can think of at one point or another in my writing here , im not in a good mood and there are a few i dont want to further offend so topic closed.

Everyone has their pet peeves in ox , we have heard all about passing. 1 more of mine are thge people who use the applause button after almost every play. Is this a ploy to distract or are they truly awed by the fact that i just played the word sri? Im sure most of you have run across this peeve of mine . I will applaud a very nice play but i hate to overuse the button. Let me hear about any pet wordox peeves out there. you dont have to use your real name if it makes you uncomfortable. Interleague Yesterday

The day went ok at Interleague altho the infamous team Pepperrin hit a snag when The Spicy One couldnt get in the room. So i , "The Great One" graciously volunteered to host the partners tourney which spared the other teams a sure beating ;-) .That annoying little nugget showed up at the end of the night marring an otherwise pleasant evening. No sign of the accompanying kernel of corn tho. I know I know its a sick disgusting thought so i will try to not bring up that mental image for you all anymore. Ayla made up a tourney graphic for me of a crow smoking a joint and holding a bottle of whiskey and its a very cool graphic.... thanks Aylababe! CAW!

Pompous Ass

Richard/Wordman has been called a pompous ass and much worse by many people as im sure i have as well. In any sport (yes wordox is an indoor sport if scrabble, chess and poker are sports) there are people that the masses love to hate. Generally those people are the best in their chosen game and know that they are the best and dont mind letting everyone else know that they are the best. We have what is called attitude. The people that i have the most respect for are those that keep coming back for more no matter how severe the beatings are. Those are the ones that do get victories that they can gloat about until the next time they have to face one of us. Egos clash and I have had words with Richard in the past, as a matter of fact we cussed each other like dogs more than once but we have a healthy respect for each other because we know we are 2 of the best in the game and if you dont believe that prove me wrong!

Juvenile comments mudslinging etc

Who was the one who made the juvenile comment about my balls in the first place? I think that was Ceedie who lowered herself to do that and i damn sure dont feel bad about my responses. And yes she is a bitch. And another thing.... Ayla ? For shame ? I notice you had nothing to say about her calling Wordman a pompous ass which is just as bad as me calling her names.
If you read the top of the page it says if you dont like it dont read it. I have stated that in posts many times as well. I didnt start writing here for the good of wordox , i started writing it for my own amusement and that hasnt changed.
Anyone who started reading from the beginning as most of the longtime ox players did , they all know The Monkeybars/Amplify story and some of them are people who voted to ban him at Wordplay for rank manipulation, not reporting losses and foul language towards a female admistrator. I dont know why he was banned at Synergy and i dont really give a rats ass why. As far as why i choose not to play him its been well documented here before. Sometimes i get drunk and play him anyway but thats beside the point. My partner has her own reasons for not playing him and if she feels like disclosing that information here or elsewhere thats her business.

The Croc Hunter

Man im totally bummed out today. I saw on the news that Steve Irwin , "The Croc Hunter " had died after being stuck by a stingray during filming on the Great Barrier Reef. I spent almost as many stoned hours watching the crazy little Aussie dive on animals while shouting Crikey as i spent watching The Weather Channel. We watched his daughter grow up on the show as well. As a matterof fact in my house crikey! is a part of our vocabulary. Steve Irwin will be missed by many. Its a sad day.

Interleague Pards ;-)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, it felt good to be back in action after such a long break. hollyhotty and i had a lot of ring rust to shake off but we did very well regardless. We only lost 1 match and that was to Dorcas and Joey and i figure they owed us 1 after the thumping we gave them the last time we played ;-). Playing diagonal pards was a nice change also, i forgot how much fun it was to play that format. Rescue Me : Season Finale

Oh man what an ending. Im not gonna post spoilers but i wonder if the show has been renewed? If not .... dammit!!! . One of the best shows to come along in years , i remain impressed by the real life attitude , language and the characters. I hated it that they killed off Johnny in the last episode, there was so much more they could have done with him. If anyone finds out whether or not the show is gonna get another season gimme a shout please.
My reading list the past week included a rereading of Shogun by James Clavell , it had been several years and the book was great all over again. Also a bit of science fiction, The Mote in Gods Eye by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle, a great team , i enjoy everything they put out.

Emmy Awards

In my humble opinion Denis Leary and his show Rescue Me got robbed by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. I personally think "24" sucks, when it started i didnt make it thru 1 episode. Granted that when it comes to TV i dont have much of an attention span but if 24 is so much better than RM why cant i get into it? At least Tony Shaloub got his for the show Monk. Thats about all i have to say on the awards show , im not very well informed on much TV tho like my partner Holly i do like the show The Flavor of Love..... Flav should get an emmy to wear with his clock. And i am enjoying the show Gene Simmon's Family Jewels on A&E.... for those of you who are wondering Gene is the blood puking ,fire- breathing bass player from the all time great rock band KISS and he has kids with Playmate Shannon Tweed who he settled down with after flings with Cher and Diana Ross among others.

R.A.T.M. Rage Against The Machine..... i raged saturday night and lost this time....Do you tell a machine Hi n gl? or GG? Hell no lol , tho you may try n piss in its electric eye on the off chance of shorting it out.
Out for blood? ..... OMG what the fuck do people think when they play in a league/laddermatch or a tourney? Do you expect a top player to pull his/her punches just because you graced a tourney with your august presence ? Here is what ya need to do.... Get a dictionary , polish it up , turn it sideways and shove it straight up your ass, and maybe you will retain a few odd words of your own, definitions included.
word generators..... Richard where did you get yours? mine keeps crashing and i want an updated version. Gimme a fucking break people.... when you use the word earwigs and wouldnt know what an earwig was if it bit you on the ass its pretty obvious that you have new batteries but when you have been playing for years using the same ODD words over and over again and beating the best players around , then you can throw out all the accusations you want . Life gets in the way of Wordox and more stuff

Man that does suck!! I hate having my hobbies interfered with. Until i had a child i was pretty much my own person, even being married i could do pretty much whatever i wanted to do. Now with my daughter CJ thrown into the mix every move i make i have to think about her and my wife too. My daughter is just 3 years old now but that means in 14 short years i will have to start paying for college. If its the last thing i do in life i intend to see her get a good education and a nice start in whatever profession she chooses. So that means less wordox, more work.
Moving away from Tennessee to live near inlaws wasnt such a great idea either. Inlaws are very nosy people and they (me too) were much better off when they had to drive 2 and a half hours to irritate me. You would think that now that i have done my duty and given them a grandchild they would spend time with her and leave me the hell alone but noooooooo they want to aggravate the piss outta me every chance they get. Such is life.
Back to the game, I missed interleague this saturday thanks to the above mentioned people but i will be back in action there next saturday. I rejoined fswordox today and played in a tourney (that i won )with the hoyle UKers in the cases ladder room . If you like variety tourneys these are the people to play , they rarely ever have a str8 ox tourney.

Ring Rust

Ring rust bit us in the ass at pards tonight. That and lack of alcohol on my part. I was out of whiskey and didnt want to drink vodka or rum. Ricky and Brian took us out twice. Wtg guys , nice playing. Hope we get another match down the road with ya when we are in true form. Today was a crappy day all the way around at interleague. Not 1 fucking tourney did United (the host league ) set up. As i said earlier they are infected and dying the slow death so it should have been expected. Interleague is a chance for the smaller leagues to attract interest in their groups, especially if they advertise it and their own leagues in social 1 but maybe they like to struggle to get a tourney off the ground? who knows.

WordoxUnited , I learned how to TD there , played in lots of laddergames and hundreds of tourneys there over the years , and i met many great players and wonderful people there. I withdrew from United today and it feels like the end of an era for me. Unless someone comes along who has the time and energy to devote to the proper administration United it is pretty much a dead league. I begged the admins there to devote some attention to interleague and maybe attract some attention and players towards United but they have a diseased league now and im afraid its too late because all i got was some mumbling idiotic bullshit letter from Dale and Rose just told me the leagues players were diversifying into other games. Rose is a great TD and i will miss playing in her tourneys. Other than that tho i wont be missing much. R.I.P. WordoxUnited . If anyone ever gets the league cleaned up and going again let me know!!!

Apology

I was a bit harsh towards "The Spicy One " last night. Im sorry pard, you cant help it if you are a pepper and i need to learn to be more tolerant . At least you arent a broccoli (shudder) or a squash. In the future i will consider innocent vegetable feelings before i caw and i urge mooers ,quackers ,bleaters ,neighers and other noisemakers to do the same. Thank You.

Its over. I made a symbolic statement in public with my forfeits to Amplify , the statement was in support of friends who wont play him for personal reasons or dislikes. I am going to play him from here on out if paired against him in a tourney if he decides to befoul the tourney with his presence. If i lose , so what, most people know what scum he is. If i win i dedicate the wins to all the players he has cheated against , lied to , shit on , walked over or generaly irritated and to everyone else that hates his stinking guts. So Amp.... V for Vendetta

When the most electrifying team in Wordox decides to take a break and entertain themselves away from Ox it seems that a new team has been created and named "V for Vendetta". Wow!!! Impressive name !! They even won the partners tourney!! Vendetta hmmmmm ,who in the hell could they be after? I see its Amplify and Ceedie OMG!! Ampy found another female who believes his line of bullshit. I wonder how many times she has beaten him in laddergames that he didnt report and she went along with him on it because he wants his stats to be "better than Wordmans". Oh well ,who gives a shit?
Recently i began a policy of refusing to play him , not just because i hate his stinkin guts , but in support of other players who wont play him , including my partner Holly who has had problems with him as well. Agony, Agoony ,Agonnnnny what do i do? Stay tuned for further developments.

The Great Passing Debate

Thanks everyone who responded with their views on passing. Like i said in an earlier post my reason for opening the can of worms was a couple of lobby conversations and situations i had observed and 1 or 2 i heard about.
My main point in the whole thing was that while you may or may not consider it ethical to pass , it is legal . Putting up a fake word , letting the timer run out looking for a play or just plain out passing shouldnt lead to hard feelings or lobby hellraising while passing is considered an acceptable strategy by the all of the wordox leagues administrators. And if it was considered illegal it would be as impossible to enforce as determining who is and who isnt a cheater . That being said this post is over and once again i appreciate the opinions of everyone who responded.

You tell me!" ....Yes you are right , i have thought about my decision to forfeit against Amplify which i have now done twice. I didnt do it to disrupt the tourneys , i did it out of a personal animosity towards him, not out of ill will towards the TD's in question. Hindsight is 20/20 they say and i apologize to you, Ivystung, who was the other td involved in a forfeit and any players that may have been offended. Next time i will withdraw from a tourney instead of playing if said asshole joins after i sign up.
While a league does function better when everyone plays everyone else we all know that is a fairy tale that will never come true. The initial issue for debate however wasnt about me forfeiting against a scumbag who was banned from 3 leaguesand who i share a great deal of mutual dislike with as well, it was about players who refuse to play someone else on the passing issue after the leagues , the tourney rules, the rules of wordox etc etc all state THAT IT IS ACCEPTABLE TO PASS AS A STRATEGY. Your words... "In the case of passing, when you know ahead of time your opponent will use that "strategy" - you can plan to play (or not play) accordingly. But you don't always know ahead of time, and that's when a pass feels "unethical" - because you've played the game under one assumption, and it got stomped on."
So in other words in my opinion if you sign up for a tourney there shouldnt be any assumptions when its LEGAL to pass and ANYONE can do so. And just for the record the reason i brought this up in the first place is because of a couple of lobby situations and conversations i saw recently , not games that i have personally been involved in, but if i feel the need to pass im going to do it up front ,im damn sure not going to feel guilty about it or worry about whether my stock in others eyes goes up or down, especially since its never been a blue chip stock anyway, anywhere .

Aaaah Controversy

Did i say i didnt want anyone pissed off at me ? LOL we all know that if i havent pissed off someone, somewhere , by the end of the day i havent had a good day. Well a few have weighed in with opinions on passing . The 1 thing Dorcas said that i did not agree with was the prime function of the pass button being for a rack of completely bad tiles, the submit button serves the same function, why add another button? Saying that, i usually use the same strategy Dorcas spoke about, when passed to i uisually take the free turn, but not always. And it depends on who im playing too. I notice that its usually the women of wordox as opposed to the men who get ticked off about passsing.... usually.
I dont think it makes a player weaker to pass on the final play of the game , i have seen it "bite them in the ass" tho as one person put it. However you rarely see that end of game passing going on. If the leagues and Hoyle and the rules of wordox agree that passing as a strategy is acceptable , why cant players who choose to not employ that strategy accept that there are those who will use it , and finish a game without forfeiting or otherwise causing a scene including refusing to play a person if they do use the strategy. THAT was the main reason for the initial post. And mummy , hang around ox wouldnt be the same without ya ;-).

Passing as a strategy

Would someone please explain to me what the big flap is all about over passing as a strategy? If you read the rules of wordox they state "If you choose to not make a word on your turn you may pass to your opponent" . Thats straight from the hoyle word games rules of wordox. There is also if people have noticed a button specifically for the purpose of passing. Every leagues rules also state that passing is an acceptable strategy yet there are people who get all pissed off if you pass. When the game was invented why did they put a pass button there if it was not intended to be used as a strategy? In scrabble you can pass your turn and exchange tiles , am i not correct in this? The reason for this post is because i have had it come up several times in the past few weeks in email and lobby chat. If you are in a league game or tournament competing to better your rank or your stats and a play will cost you the game but a pass may give you an oppurtinity to win please explain to me why it isnt ethical to pass. I have seen people pass and it cost them the game. In my opinion if you are in a league and your opponent passes you should use whatever strategy you can to counter the action.... if a play can be made that wont hurt you play it, if not pass back.... gamble , take a chance .... but please dont distort the rules of the game and of all the leagues by protesting when a player passes as a strategy, it makes no sense and cause only hard feelings. I personally refuse to pretend the pass button isnt there until someone can prove to me that it wasnt put there for use as a strategy. I may or may not choose to pass , it depends because i do take wild gambles and they do payoff sometimes but i damn sure dont want anyone pissed off at me when im staying well within the rules.

I want to make sure everyone knows , this site is a battleground , a mudwrestling pit , an open forum for any jabroni who wanders in to air his/her bitches anonymous or otherwise. I dont care who slings mud here , leave your name or not. And Shadow, if someone hasnt been affronted by the stuff i have put out so far something isnt working. By all means raise all the hell you want here, suggest formats tell us about whatever you want , comment on others comments , call Amplify a dirty s.o.b... i dont care just enjoy.

one more time on cheaters

The thing that chaps my ass about any cheater , (names deleted) etc etc is the fact that they arent gonna go away. The fact is they multiply. More and more people are cheating . I said once before bring on the cheaters, i can take them 9 times out of 10 because they suck at strategy. I fucking hate to give away a win to that pile of shit(name deleted) when like someone else said everyone else is gonna suck his ass and play him. I know cheaters will be a problem here forever , do we let them rule us? tough decision all the way around. Stand on integrity and forfeit or fight it out and take a loss if they can swing the win? damned if i do and damned if i dont. im gonna post this leaving out the cheaters names because i have glorified them enough already.

i Got an email from a player who raised some points i totally agree with and here is an excerpt from that letter..... So what if a great wordox player doesn't like certain formats? That doesn't make him any less great and that's why ice cream comes in different flavors. . . not everyone likes the same thing. For Junior to say that a "true champion must be able to win at all formats" is like saying a great track star has to be able to win at sprints, hurdles, and distance races or he's not a true champion. Well said!! Wish i had thought of it first lol. Anyway that being said i will consider possibly playing in some of the "gimmick" tourneys just because my day isnt complete without a few headaches.

Train Wreck

Hey Pard , did you get the number of that bus that ran over us last night? It had to be a bus cos my head hurts really really bad. Remind me to stick to beer on saturdays during the summer please. When i drink whiskey i get us into trouble because after a few shots i lose my mind and think i gotta finish the bottle. I think Mike (Ivystung) snuck up behind me and beat the hell out of me a couple of times too. I seem to have a hazy recollection of my pard kickin me a time or 2 as well. LOL i love a good drunk. If i had been out on the town they would be bailing me out this morning so Thank You God for creating Wordox to keep my drunk ass at home safe.

Partners time

Hopefully we will have a nice turnout for pards tonight. I realize that most people have a life outside of wordox, i gave mine up when i got married. But still i know there are plenty of oxers out there that could play but dont have a partner. Dont let that stop ya , cmon in and we will help get ya a partner and if you like the partner you get try teaming with them on a regular basis and you will enjoy it more and more. sometimes ya win sometimes ya lose but hey its not like we play for money. all it takes is time and testicular fortitude. cya there !

If you can't conquer something such as two tile or no oranges, then you really aren't "the Man" (or Woman), now are you?
Ok Junior, There are 2 reasons why i can use that quote you mentioned, First because its my blog and i like to talk smack , Seond reason: For the past several years i have played in EVERY league against the very best players in wordox in every format and day after day, night after night ,year after year i have consistently beaten the very best players in wordox in all the formats. Hell in FSW you cant find a tourney thats regular ox and i beat all them folks too. Not to say that the very best players dont kick my ass as often as i whip them because they do. But over the long haul i feel like i have established myself as one of the top 5 players in the World by doing what i mentioned above and that is beating the top players in every league , not just one tiny little group. Formats such as 2 tile and no oranges etc i have tried , won at them and wrote them off because in my opinion they are a pain in the ass. And free turn tourneys, unless its an obscure word why bother? Want a reward like a free turn ? Earn it. 1 more thing .... Whoooooooooooooooooooooo

Interleague Day Saturday

Once again Interleague day approaches and once again not a friggin thing in my email from any league including interleague itself supporting ,suggesting , promoting or even taking a dump on the idea of getting players to come out. I wrote United admins a few weeks ago when they were supposed to host and the replies i finally got were just whiny bullshit about there being other games out there and our players have diversified yada yada my aching ass. I know the people who read my rantings play and some of you are in a position to reach out to a broader base of people thru league newsletters. Give it a shot... we should be having 10- 30 person tourneys or even larger, not cancelling tourneys. Im gonna keep bitching about this until i turn blue in the face so look for another post sunday .

My reading list

Since im bored i figured i would post what i read last week and what im starting on this week. Last week i read Forrest Gump and Gump&Co. by Winston Groom and also Better Times Than These by Winston Groom. I had read the first 2 once a few years ago courtesy of the public library but i found copies in a used bookstore and bought them. The first 2 are laugh out loud funny. The movie Forrest Gump was funny but the book and the sequel are just funnier than hell. The other book was a Vietnam war story, not bad all in all. I also just finished Lucifers Hammer by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. Its a comet hits the earth and the aftermath story and its scary as hell to me. I hate the thought of anything hitting good old Mother Earth of a size large enough to wipe out whole countries. Starting to reread the hobbit and lord of the rings books now. been several years and i want a refresher. bbl

Another piss-poor day at interleague

I am a member of every league that participates in Interleague and once again this week i got nothing in my inbox suggesting any attempt at all from ANY league supporting the group. What a complete load of horseshit. Yeah the regulars know about it but there are plenty of fringe players who could stand a reminder now and then. I guess there are better things to do than type a few lines in one newsletter a week asking people to come out and play. Pathetic.

I had good moments during the tourney but none of my usual drunken brilliance and it cost us. Partners -- Reflections

I was thinking about a team that won team of the year in the old wordplay league, WhimWham and Avivz. These guys were each world class wordox players and when teamed went thru the competition like friggin tornados. I hosted the partners tourneys at that time and didnt have The Spicy One at my side back then , which really was lucky for those 2 cos i dont think they would have been ready for the walk thru hell we would have subjected them to. Anyway they were an awesome team and i wouldnt mind seeing them back around.

Wow! Last night at Synergy was rough! All those grubby hands grabbing and pawing at me trying to pull me down and rip me to shreds. I was the only guy there until Ivy finally showed up. I ended up bailing out and leaving him to their oh so tender mercies. Holly Kate Cait Nanc Queenie .... all i can say is Yikes!! Failthful readers , it was scary!!!! Reminded me of a zombie movie. I managed to get out with my skin intact tho. I shall live to fight another day! cyas all tonight i hope.

Last Nights Post

Yeah i ragged on some people in my last post, and some of you are wondering who i was talking about, some know who , some dont give a rats ass. It doesnt matter who they are, there will always be someone in Ox to raise hell about. I know there are probably quite a few that run their yaps about me too and if you havent already heard my take on those folks here ya go... Dont like me , Bite me! . Some people that have read this little journal of mine may be thinking that im a jackass, self- important, a dick ... whatever, you get the picture. Well i heartily agree with ya , i am all that and more. But after that post last night i will try and scale back on the negative aspects of our game and try once again to have fun with Ox and this Blog. So up yours to the playerhaters , cheers to my friends and coming soon some stories from my checkered past.
