"The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated"

I know that breaks some peoples hearts lol..... Anyway I have been quite busy with doing some remodeling work on my home, spending time with my kid and the usual crap people do when they arent online. I needed a break from the ox world and i know the ox world can always use a break from me. On to weightier matters.
I dropped in on the interleague room today just in time to see Ceedie forfeit a match against Wordman. Refusing to play a cheater is one thing but passing up a chance to play against a world class player because you dont like that player is ignorant. That is as bad as the player who declined to play me because i "scare" them.... yes that actually happened to me a few weeks ago. I scare you? wtf kinda of garbage is that? Ox isnt a boxing ring where you strap on the gloves and get the crap beat out of ya. Its not a cage match , get real. Wussy.
Reading list.
I am working on reading The Belgariad by David Eddings, just finished "A Feast For Crows " by George R R Martin, and read a few more John Grisham books. I also read a few books by Larry McMurtry (Lonesome Dove) and i have a couple of Tom Clancy novels to read.
Thats it for now maybe i will see some of ya soon ;-)

"A Feast for Crows"? How appropriate. Welcome back to the land of OX, cawman.

Firstly, I missed you Jeffie! :)
I feel the need to defend the player who wouldn't play you. I am not saying that avoiding playing the tough players when you are a beginner is a good thing to do, it really isn't. What I am saying is that I' ve been there myself.
When I first started playing wordox in Synergy, 5 years ago, I wouldn't play against Dorcas, Cait, Wurm, April, Ivy because they scared the sh*t out of me with their big WEIRD words... I couldn't think straight, I couldn't concentrate... this is not funny... this is not a joke... there are people out there who can confirm this fact.
Anyway, it had taken me a long time before I actually convinced myself that it was safe to play against the Big Bad Wolves of Wordox and get my azz kicked.
Playing against the BBWW is what helped me learn the words that I now know. These words, in time, helped me to get my azz kicked less often and be able to kick some azz myself, every now and then. :)
My two cents...

After you read The Belgariad, continue with The Mallorean. Belgarath the Sorcerer and Polgara the Sorceress shed some light on the gaps in the first two series, but a lot is stuff you already will have read. Up to you if you want to commit the time. Redemption for Anthalus was another book by him I liked. Welcome back btw. lol

Ah, now there's a title I recognize! Redemption for Althalus is absolutely amazing; I just read it over Christmastime. Definitely a good read if you are at all into the fantasy/sci-fi section of the bookstore.

(Welcome back, Perrin!)

That's Redemption of Althalus, sorry. Curse my typing.
