Keeping up

Wow , its hard to believe i have been writing here for well over a year, more like a year and a half seeing that my first post was in may 2006. Made lots of new friends and a few new enemies, had a lot of fun playing the game and writing about it and other subjects for my entertainment. Maybe i should reprint what i consider to be some of my classic posts like the ones about the GLH gang that i had so many great games against ( think i finally scared them off lol).

Anyhoo lets take a look at the state of the ladder first , in the past week we have done around 300 matches rough guess maybe a bit more. The Top 10 as of today, coming in at #10 is Shadowy_Niddyz , Just ahead of him at #9 is Spot60(sprot) #8 it is isittheshoes #7 is the feisty IrishLass ....sneaking in at #6 she is sneakypete68 at #5 is Natssssssssssssssssssssssss and her sister jumped her to # 4 thats Redberry coming in at # 3 is Oxtailsoup with me at #2 and on top of the heap is Wordman50. People are getting in some laddergames as they get used to the idea of a league at Wordsteal and we may see activity pick up there as we start enforcing the rules on top players and playing for rank. Thats an item for discussion at the TD meeting.

Good news for me is that finally the sticks/boogerwoods area i live in has DSL available, which i have ordered and it will be active the end of the month! Freakin Finally!!

My Partner , The Spicy One , HollyPeenyo had a good post on her blog about Hoyle and the fact that players just are not going there anymore. To check that out see my links section. I loved Hoyle but i have just as much fun at Steal without my antivirus/antispyware program causing trouble when i go in. I hope some of the Hoylers will come kick it old school style at Steal and try the league

Looks to me like you and wordman are the ones who "got scared off" - leave it to you, Jeff, to spin your OWN "running away" into some kind of "fright" on the part of others!

LOL here i thought i was making a joke and it seems that as usual you take it serious Dorcas. Let me explain the concept to you , its called talking smack , its supposed to be an attempt at lighthearted humor, a way to poke fun. The people i mentioned in the post have read this blog enough to know that,except for apparently you.

You both need a Smack-to-English dictionary. Dueling sarcasm is only fun if you both know you're doing it. Here's what really offends me: why is it that, no matter what I say, NO ONE takes me seriously? Jeff takes Dorcas too seriously; Dorcas assumes his tongue is not in his cheek. Why is it that I can't find anyone who assigns me any somber credibility? That really steams my clams.

Of course Jeff was just talking more smack when he was explaining to me that I didn't understand the concept of smack (even though I clearly had smacked him back).

Right on, Jeffie! Now that's a mind-twister that I can really appreciate!

And here's a little more smack for ya ;-) ;-) ;-) I'll add the winkies to make sure YOU understand LMAO

Anyone who starts his "smack" by explaining that he is using smack is the one who "doesn't get it!"

And yeah, I think you are scared, even though you ignore me and/or make excuses slightly less than wordman does when I appear in Wordsteal.

You'd think by now you'd have enough confidence in your game NOT to care about protecting your rating!

And yet, I come in there underrated and practically have to beg for a game.

If that ain't about rating then I don't know what is.

LMAO nice try at smack talk for a novice but what ARE you babbling about on begging me for games? i have seen you in steal maybe what 4 times? 3 in rated and once when you joined my league. I am very sorry my excuse that i was hosting a tourney didnt work for you the one time i didnt play you. If im still scared mext time maybe i can do better.

now about that tourney excuse HAHA, oh that was a good one - i looked and saw that you were registered to PLAY in a tourney at the time, ok so he was telling the truth, i thought - too bad for you i looked ten minutes later and you had WITHDRAWN - running away AGAIN ;-) ;-) ;-)

Wow what the hell are you doing ? Stalking us? Checking on me to see if im lying? Do i need a restraining order?
I have been getting weird phone calls with some weird chick breathing heavy on the phone. Maybe i should ask Wordman if anyone is following him since you seem to have a hard-on for him too. Maybe i really should run away.
Since i know you will want the last word let me just say i can be found in the ladder room in the afternoons and will be happy to play a ladderset with any league members :-)

what brilliant plays!! and such a willingness to share :-) How sweet of you. You are reminding me of someone.... must be Olivia/Oliver.
Of course i was drunk and about all i remember is beating you at synergy later on that night. And i do manage to beat you just as many times as you beat me going by the stats on my various gold memberships. Must be dumb drunk luck eh? Theres no way lowly little me couldnt be sober for any of those wins.
I am also surprised at your willingness to come down to the guttersite of my little blog and trade jabs. Doesnt it make you feel dirty?

first - you imply that i'm boastful (i believe i'm in good company with you there lol - as one of your profiles says, "it ain't braggin' if you can back it up")

second - you imply that i give you no credit for your skill (yeah that's why i'm "stalking" you for games, i can't find any unskilled players elsewhere)

third - you imply that i place myself "above" trading jabs (i'm only too happy to dispel that misconception!)

and once again your words reveal more about you than they do about me ;-)

ponder this, Jeffie: why do YOU imagine males pursuing you? why do YOU imagine others give you no credit? why do YOU imagine others feel superior to you?

Yeah right lol and a monkey may well fly out of your butt at any second. Anyway one thing i did forget to mention. If i had really wanted to "insult" you, instead of having all this fun trading comments i would have called you a few really nasty names and ignored you after that.
