I was in rated at steal addying a tourney and decided to play the bot. The bot sent back a message that it no longer plays people rated over 2450 due to point farmers. I guess this means that the lobby hacks i have seen with ratings of 2450 and up to a whopping 2800 up will be either reduced to lobby posing, the norm for most of them, or testing themselves against the human element.
Im sure a few will get new names and continue playing the bot because there are people that just want a rough game without waiting on a poser to nut up and sit for a game or 3 but for the most part i expect to see the usual rated crap

I did not want to screw up the ratings system for the real players. Once I noticed that some players were point farming off the bots, I decided that was going to irritate someone. I suspect the bot is about a 2200. A player can take his rating up to certain point 2450, by beating the bots, but no higher. I hope the players do test themselves against other humans regularly, as people are much more of a challenge.
By the way, the bot does not know what tiles are coming, nor does it have any ability to influence the tiles drawn. It logs in and plays just like a human player, and experiences all the same things like lag, disconnects, antiflooding kicks, etc.
