A few resolutions

For 2007 i resolve to spend more time with my kid, take her new places, teach her more about the world and give her new experiences. I resolve also to have more fun and care less what people think about it . I will cut back even more on the drugs and alcohol. Right now i usually get toasted once a week. Maybe once a month will be better for me. For my online friends i promise to try and be more light-hearted and less spiteful about the people who are buttholes or who are otherwise "better people" than me or my pals. That should be plenty to work on for this year.

Great resolutions, Jeff! Hang tough. Enjoy the time you spend with your daughter. Quiet moments can be the best and they don't cost anything but time; the rewards for both of you are priceless.

My main New Year's resolution is to move to my own apartment sometime this year.

I also want to keep in better touch with my friends, which having my own apartment will help with, and to not look like a bum (i.e., shower daily, wash my hair at least every other day, and not leave the house without at least lipstick and mascara). I know these sound like little simple things, but because of my depression and/or laziness and/or general messeduppedness, I am prone to letting these little simple things slide from time to time.

And, after reading some three weeks' worth of blog entries and comments here, I am adding one more resolution to my list: to keep up with this blog! (I guess this could fall under "keeping in better touch with my friends".) I feel kinda ill after reading all this stuff, and I know it's because I don't like reading negativity from people I have come to like and care about.

BTW Jeff, your New Year's resolutions are great. I am not religious or even particuarly spiritual, but I truly believe in the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," including not taking everyone and everything so seriously (particularly in a game setting).
